On October 22nd & 23rd, SBCA Challenge Day will be rolled out as a school-wide event. South Bend Career Academy is committed to providing learning opportunities that facilitate ‘real talk’ and avenues for expression that build upon people’s strengths while tearing down all walls of oppression. This event will be our second year event. Target participation is the entire SBCA community, including but not limited to team members, team leaders, parents, SBCA leadership and extended community.

Welcome Back Cobras!
I want to welcome all our new and returning familes to the 2013-2014 school year. We are excited to have you and your children (our team members) as apart of the South Bend Career Academy Family. Every one on the staff has been working very hard to prepare for the return of our wonderful team members. We have very high expectations and have made plans to ensure that every team member will be successful this year.
Academic and social success is the main goal of every staff member here at SBCA. Team members will rise to the high level of expecations, not only in academics but also in behavior. We are emphasizing reading this year, with our 20 minutes Drop Everything and Read program. Mrs. Michelle FitzGerald has been monumental in crafting and pushing this program through the school.Read more: Welcome Back 2013-2014 School Year
Lunches at SBCA will undergo some changes, as a result of our Advisory Council (ran by our team members), and the new USDA mandated nutritional requirements. There will be more whole grains on the menu, along with the salad bar, and in house cooking. There will definately see more "kid friendly" choices on the menu.Read more: School Lunch Changes
High-speed Internet and network services are available throughout the SBCA campus, and several labs are located in various programs. When students log on to a computer, they must follow policies governing acceptable use.
Computers are for school assignments, and their use must support SBCA goals of academic success. Material stored in a student's folder must include school assignments only. Team members are strongly advised to purchase an inexpensive flash drive for storage and transport of assignments between home and school.SBCA uses software that allows them to observe and monitor students' computer work. Violators may lose network access short or long-term and may be subject to further discipline measures if they do not follow the following computer/network policies.
