The SBCA is also implementing a Mentoring Program that will match each student with an adult who will cultivate a one-on-one relationship. Mentors will help empower youth to make positive life choices that will enable them to maximize their potential. All volunteers will be required to complete an application and agreed to have an expanded background check before they are matched up with a student.
See Mrs. Jesse Whitaker, the school social worker, for the parent consent form, which will allow your team member to participate in the program. Click image to download files.

High-speed Internet and network services are available throughout the SBCA campus, and several labs are located in various programs. When students log on to a computer, they must follow policies governing acceptable use.
Computers are for school assignments, and their use must support SBCA goals of academic success. Material stored in a student's folder must include school assignments only. Team members are strongly advised to purchase an inexpensive flash drive for storage and transport of assignments between home and school.SBCA uses software that allows them to observe and monitor students' computer work. Violators may lose network access short or long-term and may be subject to further discipline measures if they do not follow the following computer/network policies.
